Hello, everyone! Welcome to another one of my posts, this time it will be types of batteries, cuz why not. I will only be covering the rechargable and modern ones, so this blog doesn't take till tomorow to write. Lithium-Ion baterries These baterries are using lithium, therefore they are very dangerous, not as dangerous as li-po baterries. Their power density is fairly large, allowing small baterries to contain alot of energy. These baterries can be commonly found in laptops, ups's, 18650 general purpose cells, etc. Lithium-Polymer baterries This type of baterry is preety much the most dangerous, but also the most baterry dense, and they are mostly just those pillow looking ones. They are commonly used in drones, rc cars, phones, and other small devices, since of their baterry density. Lead-Acid (car)baterries These are not as energy dense, but for sure are they safe. They are considered to be one of the safest type of baterries, since they dont explode like lithium does, and when they do they can be enstinquished with water, unike lithum fires which's fire is boosted by water. These baterries are commonly used in cars, diy spot welders, and other things. The li-ion and li-po baterries are usable in voltages from around 2.5V to 4.2V, car baterries from 12.2V - 13V. Which ones you should use for your project? If it should be really portable, propably li-ion, atleast in my opinion! That will be it for today, see y'all next time!
